Tim Wilson is a photographer and illustrator, who lives and works in a small riverside village near London, UK with his best friend, wife and photographic partner Ally. They have two children Jet & India.
After leaving school, Tim spent 4 years studying photography full-time, specializing in special effects for his final thesis, before starting his creative career.
That was over 20 years ago and Tim still has a passion for both illustration and photography. Since then he has spent most of his time in the creative industry, (with the exception of a 6 year period when he worked as a crime scene photographer for Scotland Yard – London Metropolitan Police).
Tim is now an Adobe Certified Instructor and divides his time between training design software at RedMemoryBox.com and creating art and photography. His clients include BBC, Disney, Nissan, Ford, British Airways, Virgin and Adobe amongst many others. Tim also lectures graphic design and photography honour degree students in Essex.
He draws his inspiration from traditional art as well as organic matter and ageing man-made objects and can often be found wandering around local boat yards looking for ideas and textures. Tim’s main artistic influences come from traditional painters. “Paintings like Picasso “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon” and J M W Turner “Rain, Steam and Speed” just inspire me so much” says Tim. “As a kid I had a poster of Salvador Dalis “Metamorphosis of Narcissus” that I used to stare at for hours.”
“Some of my work might look like things are thrown together randomly, but each element of the work is meticulously placed. I agonize over every part of the image until it comes together as I envisaged it” says Tim.

Mac or PC? Both but more important is a colour corrected awesome screen and more RAM than you can shake a stick at
Canon Nikon or Sony? Who cares as long as the lenses are awesome and the sensor reproduces beautiful low light results with enough pixels to create large prints.
